About Dr. Romont

I earned my Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2012. In April 2014, I became a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Colorado. My twenty years in the field has included working in the following settings: community mental health, juvenile justice, corrections, residential treatment centers, homeless shelters, higher education, child welfare, and private practice. I have extensive experience working with youth and families involved with various systems as well as forensics. My philosophy is based on the belief that families are the center of their own change. Building a solid connection is imperative to providing effective intervention and assessment.

My current practice includes assessments/evaluations and psychological testing for the Senate Bill 94 Program and 18th Judicial District Probation Department. Additionally, I accept private pay referrals from schools, human services, and the community. Specialty areas include youth and families struggling with relationships, involvement with juvenile justice or child welfare systems, as well as GLBTQ youth.
